HDSX makes cinemas sound better
Cinemagoers are used to finding excellent sound in the cinemas. The sound of the film and the noises from all directions enhance the enjoyment. The sound quality of the background music in the foyer or the waiting areas of the cinema is completely different. When the visitor passes the box office and moves to the cinema, the acoustics are often poor. Although modern streaming services are usually used for the music program in order to always be able to offer the right music for the atmosphere, it is usually not audible. The music gets lost in the mix of noise from conversations, the atmosphere of the center and the queues at the popcorn and dessert counters.
As is often the case, the operators focus on the loudest parts of the music and then determine the maximum overall volume. The result: You can hardly hear anything, there is no way to recognize the music or even to get into a positive mood while waiting. In short: the idea of background music doesn't work here - you might as well do without it.
For this reason, we installed the HDSX box in a multiplex cinema and thereby optimized the sound of the background music. The difference is immediately noticeable after installation. In the waiting area, there are high tables opposite the counter with nachos and drinks. Behind them is a bank of refrigerators that produce very loud noises. Previously, the music was barely perceptible, but now that the box has been installed, it is much easier to understand, even before the refrigerator. We walk through the room and check whether the sound is well distributed in all areas of the room.
Conversations about ordering are easy to understand right at the counter, even though the music is still present. In the back area, at the entrance to the cinema, we ask the staff who check the tickets: Here, too, everyone is happy. "Finally, you can hear the music and it's not too loud. Very pleasant."
Once again it has been confirmed that the HDSX box stabilizes the volume of the background music and plays it at a consistent volume regardless of the dynamics of the individual song. As a result, selected music can be heard, sound gaps between speakers are closed, and no one is bothered. HDSX has arrived in the cinema.
