It is always a particular pleasure for us to get to know our partners' new concepts and then equip them with the perfect sound ambience. A new wave of creativity is sweeping through all areas, such as retail, gastronomy and the hotel industry, with the aim of pampering guests with experiences that cannot be created online. New concepts, from pop-up stores to themed locations to unusual architecture with the best service, clearly highlight the strengths of stationary retail and prove how exciting customer experiences from person to person can be.
Our mission, which I am reporting on here, took us to the former premises of an old, venerable bank, where a high-quality bank has now opened its doors. It is impressive how the architecture of the bank premises was incorporated to design the guest room and give it warmth and coziness. Open safe doors made of meter-thick steel were also a must, and so we were faced with high ceilings, large window fronts, lots of metal and an overall large guest room that has a noticeable reverberation of its own. This composition of the environment ensures that fluctuations in the volume of the background music are extremely noticeable, as the increasing energy of the music as it gets louder is amplified by the room's resonance.
Since music was not designed to be used in the background, but rather to be heard at least at room volume, it is often full of dynamics, i.e. it produces volume changes to make listening interesting. If you play it in the background, this becomes a major disadvantage, as it is either too quiet or too loud. There is never a perfect overall volume and you have to decide whether you don't hear large parts of the songs at all or hear too little, or whether you listen to others too loudly.
This typical discrepancy is automatically resolved by the HDSX box, so we set about connecting the HDSX box to the restaurant's sound system. To do this, we integrated it between a wirelessly controlled music player and the system's amplifier, which was also mobile-controlled, which was very convenient for us afterwards. After we had activated the HDSX box, we walked through the dining room and used the mobile control to set the optimal volume for each of the four existing sound zones.
Because the HDSX box adjusts the fluctuating volume within the music tracks in real time and at the same time increases the fullness of the sound in the entire room, it is now possible for the first time to perfectly coordinate different sound zones without individual zones escalating in volume relative to each other, especially in transitional situations. The result is a room perfectly filled with sound and even the private room, the safe with the open door, shines with sound and invites you to count not money but taste when it comes to what the excellent kitchen serves up there. The ears eat with you, because music is pure emotion that intensifies what we do. Only in a perfect sound ambience can we really enjoy with all our senses.
